Artifacts are collectables which can be traded to unlock new Pioneer Suits and their skins, which cost 2 and 1 artifacts respectively.
There are 27 Artifacts in total. 10 artifacts are exclusive to Rogue Mode, and appear as diamonds on the game's map in that mode.
Unlocking the 6 unlockable characters costs 12 Artifacts in total. Unlocking all the skins costs 14 artifacts. This leaves 1 artifact left over that can't be spent.
